During 2000-2001 Mayor Espinoza set out on a project to beautify the downtown corridor, this included replacing the sidewalks and streets. During this time there was also grant money available to the local businesses in this area to purchase paint, windows and awnings for there businesses. After the project was finished the downtown area had a nice new facelift, everything from planters with trees and benches to new antique street lights. The project was a improvement that has long been needed. Now when you come into downtown Lovelock weather it be day or night it has it's nice old look back again. Here are a few pictures of the businesses with the new paint, windows and awnings.
